32 batalion the greatest war machine known to the world, taking on swapo and friends beating them in their own backyard!
An eye opener of what really happened in a war that was not for the eyes of the general public, pity we were not informed correctly at that time of our lifes , young people would have made different choices and understand things in the right perception
The book was great. Jan gives a lot of details which can be overwhelming to some one who wasnât there as you donât know the area etc. It gave great insight into what happened up there and was a eye opener. You really have to respect the fact at what close distances the contacts were fought at some times. A great read over all and very entertaining.
This is a well-written book about the origins of Bravo Group and 32 Bn by the founding commander, the legendary Col Jan Breytenbach. The author pulls no punches and tells it as he experienced it. This is no re-told tale, but one written by a man who took part in the events which he so eloquently sketches. Not only is the author a legendary SADF soldier, but he is also a gifted raconteur. I enjoyed the book tremendously.
