On the 8th of August 1988 at 17h00 the guns fell silent in Southern Angola when a ceasefire came into effect, effectively ending hostilities between South African and the Angolan/Cuban Forces. Let us  bow our heads, and observe a minute of silence for our Brothers who paid the supreme sacrifice in this war.
