30 Jun 1980: 79581435PE Corporal Theo Bence van Niekerk from 1 Reconnaissance Regiment died from a gunshot wound accidentally sustained while at Fort Doppies in the Caprivi Strip. He was 22.
30 Jun 1986: 84701994HN Rifleman Poyiki Wilfred Mahlangu from 115 Battalion was murdered at Weltevrede by persons unknown. He was first attacked and assaulted before being burned to death. He was 28.
30 Jun 1986: Rifleman L.N.D. Jonas from 101 Battalion SWATF was Killed in Action during a Contact with SWAPO/PLAN insurgents in Southern Angola near the Cut-line. He was 26.
30 Jun 1989: 75329257KV Lieutenant Philip Kennith Kirstein from the Nelspruit Commando was accidentally killed in a non-military related incident while he was in Pretoria. He was 26.
30 Jun 1992: Four members from 9 SAI were accidentally killed when their Samil 20 vehicle overturned at Middelrust. The casualties were:
