07 October, let us pause to remember these young men from our Generation who answered the Sunset call.
07 Oct 1974: Constable Mpahlwa Mziwnake from the South African Police was serving in Rhodesia with the British South Africa Police when he was killed in a motor vehicle accident in the Binga area near Kariba. He was 24.
07 Oct 1976: 74313511BC Candidate Officer Charles Robert Dickens from the School of Armour was killed when his Eland 90 Armoured Car overturned while travelling on the road between the De Brug Training Area and Bloemfontein. He was 18.
Their names and sacrifice have not been forgotten.
