Compiled by an actual eye witness, this is one of the most accurate and profound descriptions of the Second Congo War (August 1998 to July 2003). This conflict became known as the ‘GREAT AFRICAN WAR’ in which nine countries are participants, and mercenaries are hired by all sides.

The story highlights the endemic government corruption found throughout central Africa, and which is still prevalent today where billions of dollars, plus gold, diamonds and a host of natural resources are involved. While there are various government ministers making a fortune, millions of people are forced to endure endemic corruption, indiscriminate slaughter, torture, amputations, diseases, starvation and fear.

Two of the principal weapons in this war are child soldiers and atrocities committed against unarmed civilians.
